Mock Interview

Before undertaking a mock or real job interview it is good practice to do some preparation have a go at the Interview Preparation Activity from The Open University. The questions in the activity will assist you in your preparation and get you to think about points you want to mention in your answers.

The best way to become more competent at interviews is to practice. There are many resources available to help you do this. Have a look at the Prospects Interview Questions and practice answering the questions with someone else acting as the interviewer. For more practice go to Be My Interviewer by Jobsite, which has interactive videos to help you practice your interview technique and answers with some famous businesspeople. Also, Monster has a Virtual Job Interview which will actually score you on your interview question answers. The more practice you have with interviews will increase your self-confidence.
